Damion (UK) started up Stella Safe in 2025 and is mainly based in China. In China, he has been teaching for many years and has amassed a great deal of child safety certificates and qualifications, including holding a Designated Safeguarding Lead role at a major international school. Damion created the entire process, from flow diagram and forms to staff training and concern categorisation. He also held a similar role for one of the UK's leading international summer school networks and even completed a United Nations course of child safeguarding.

In addition, he has held various counsellor roles for adults and has had to handle some distressing staff situations through mediation and support. Hence, Damion decided to set up Stella Safe which is still very much in it's very early days.

Damion's ultimate aim is to provide a live, online platform for any individual, school or organisation whereby staff, and maybe also the people with concerns or issues to raise, can contact a professional for immediate advice and impartial guidance on next steps. The target for this is not only for 'developed' countries, but also in developing countries. As such, he has created a service philosophy which is highly culturally sensitive (many countries have taboos which prevent or complicate child/adult wellness). 

Finally, a word of current affairs. You just need to glance at some of the headlines to see how wellbeing and safeguarding are a constant and high profile issue across the board. Stella Safe is producing handy articles all the time (see Articles). But it also shows the importance, and massive need, for better safeguarding training, advice, support and information.
